Posted for someone:

WHERE?

CLUB DRUG / DGBD, HONGDAE

WHAT TIME?

FROM 8PM

WHO?

NO. 1 KOREA

THE ROCK TIGERS
http://www.rocktigers.com

CRYING NUT
http://cafe.daum.net/cryingnut1993

HOW MUCH?

ONLY 15,000 WON

HOW DO I FIND THE CLUB?

LIKE THIS. Head for US 66 from Hong Dae University gates, on the right hand side of the road as you head down. Just before you get to US 66 turn right, and walk straight for about five minutes, you'll see a mongolian restaurant on your right until you pass a Buy The Way convenience store with tables and chairs outside. There is a small road just after that on the left, you'll see a club on the right called DGBD and this is the venue for tonight's show.

See you there, I hope.

I hope so, because the talent was pretty thin last week. Was that due to the Japan festival?

Yes. I went with the guys to Japan and we had an insane time. An expensive time as well.

Went to the show. Was pretty good. Ska, rockabilly, and ummmmm...punk....sorta....all represented.

Racetraitor, let people know about that stuff (or me, anyway). Only reason I went to last night's show is because it was easy for me to pop in.

Oh, don't get me started about ska and Number 1 Korean. Crying Nut is more punk than they are ska.

Here are the basic rules about Skunk Hell shows. Every Saturday, around 7, and don't be too much of a dick and don't get too drunk. You can usually find a poster for it here: http://www.skunklabel.com/eman.html

How is Drug convenient for you? I used to live one block from Skunk actually.

Well, Hongdae is a good 50-60 minutes out of the way for me and I thought I might miss the show but I went anyways..

Got there just before midnight...

Show was over. Evil or Very Mad

Why live music shows end so damn early in Korea? Its not like theres a curfew. DJ's go all night, bars are open all night, etc. I don't get it.

Yeah, thats what got me too.. I wanted to see the Rock Tigers.. but getting ready to go out to see a band at 8pm just seems strange to me. In short, I didn't make it either.. but i would have had it began around 10:30-11pm or so.

Shows end early here so people can catch the subway home. It sucks but it's a fact of life.

No, I'm not in a band. I'm just their photographer and I run the English page at Skunk Label. Not that it gets updated very often.
