Yesterday I was walking home and heard this screaming. So I walk over and see a woman wailing and crying at her son who was about 17-19 years old. I had no idea why nor do I know enough Korean to find out. It could have been that he was a lazy bastard (possible) or that the mom was angry that he skipped a class or something meaningless. Anyways it was a big ruckus. I start to walk away when I hear a slap behind me. I turn around to see a boy about the same age as the son walk up and give a good smack to the son in the face. I go over to help stop the fight and find out from the boy who hit that the son had hit his mom. So, naturally at that point I'm wishing I had hit the son instead and I congratulate the boy for standing up to the son.
I guess the reason why I'm writing this is because too often we see/talk about men who hit women. I guess the example I saw the opposite point, there are those who will step in and help. The teenager had seen something wrong and had done something.
P.S. the son was rubbing his face afterwards. |

| Yeah, it's not a good idea to ever jump into any fight or argument here, because you really don't know what's happening. Unless you do. |

| I didn't know so I did nothing, the boy did and looked like he did the right thing. |
