i have an adult student who is going to the US soon. his company wants him to stay longer than 3 months, up to 6 months. what are his chances of getting a visa for this length of time. apparently a student visa is too restrictive. i suggested that with his businesses support he should have no problem so long as he says that they are looking to open a factory or whatnot in the US.... as i said before though, i really have no idea.... any suggestions? |

I'm not clear about what your student is going to be doing in the US. Is he going to study there? Chances are, if he is legally enrolled for a semester at a school, he would get a visa that matches that.
I think your best bet is to have him call the US embassy. It has Korean speakers who can tell him exactly what the rules and regulations are. |

Hmmm. Sounds strange that the person wouldn't just call or go to the American embassy. To be honest he could even just the use the web site to find out this information quickly. The internet (korean language pages) have huge amounts of information about American visas. Tell him to get off his lazy butt and find out for himself. |
