|
|
For the last couple of weeks I have been applying for various positions for teaching at winter camps in Korea (i am currently in New zealand). I have a lot of phone calls and been told I have been accepted to work on various camps and then suddenly they turn around and said my application has been cancelled or the camp.
I have been sitting at home waiting for an airfare to arrive in the post (as the recruiter Jun education) said it had been posted and on its way. Now Ive just been told (1 wk later) that my application has been cancelled and Im no longer able to work at the camp....What the hell???
Is this kind of thing common in Korea????
Can anybody suggest a reliable company to try and contact?
Its honestly doing my head in and I am ready to just give up, Im just so confused and gutted! |

They probably accepted an in-country applicant over you, even though they already said you had the job. That, definitely is not uncommon in Korea. They might've saved themselves a few bucks by hiring an in-country applicant. I recommend that you keep trying if you really want to come. If you're female, I think Korea Maritime University was looking for female-only applicants for a winter camp or something here in Boo-sahn. Check www.pusanweb.com 's classifieds section. |
