Dear Dave,

Thank you for your article : I know it took much time to research and prepare; it will certainly be a wonderful help and guide, not only to new TEFL/TESL teachers around the world, but also to the experienced teachers. Your eslcafe readers may view it (second article) on

http://www.asian-efl-journal.com/june2003.home.htm

Thanks again.

Not to be rude or anything..but that's not much of an article...."prepare" ???

A few quotes including one from Homer Simpson...a bio of Mr. Sperling...
a little blurb...links and that's it?

A little 101 on internet?

Sorry I thought it would be an enlighting article.......

I didn't find it "unenlightening" - it's a very comprehensive guide to ESL and English-related sites.

I think your disappointment stems from the piece's being billed as something it's not. It's not a how-to on using the Internet in ESL classes. It's not a sample lesson plan or module. It's not a doctoral thesis. It is what it is - a collection on links, along with brief summaries.

As someone who has taught ESL and computer studies for years, I especially like and appreciate the tips at the end of the piece. I also appreciate the effort.
