I know these things are pretty old now- but I need to get 6 of them for Christmas and haven't got a clue whata go on.
As far as I know there was your original Gameboy, then Gameboy colour, then Gameboy Advance (?) then a mini orginal Gameboy.
Is this right?
Which games are compatible with which units?
How much are these things likely to be selling for these days? |

I believe it goes
Gameboy : gameboy games
Gameboy pocket : gameboy games
Color Gameboy : gameboy games, color games
Advance : gameboy games, color games, advance games
Foldy advance : gameboy games, color games, advance games
Super mini gameboy : gameboy games
They are all backwards compatible.
Prices here are a mystery. Looking at eBay I'm going out on a limb and say $10/$15 for the gameboy/gameboy pocket, providing they arent rare colours or anything. |

Almost.
There are two versions of the GB Advance SP - old has a frontlit screen, new has a backlit screen.
By "super mini gameboy" I guess you mean GB Micro? This ONLY plays advance games. It's not backwards compatible.
There's also the Nintendo DS which sometimes gets lumped in under 'Gameboy', and which can also play GBA games. |
