Does anybody have any Christmas-themed lessons for high school students? New Years-themed lessons would be fine too.
The previous teacher here did a lesson based on the differences between WISH and HOPE.
I wish you + noun (happiness)
I wish I + simple past verb (had a bicycle)
I hope you + simple present or future verb (have lots of success) |

I posted some stuff on this thread: http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=48770
However, I'd really like some even easier and more passive stuff for the last week, after exams, when there's really not much happening at school. Does anyone know of a downloadable Christmas video that's not too long?
Making Christmas cards is also a lot of fun. Hint: bring along a chocolate bar as a prize for the student with the most English on his / her card, or it will turn to nothing but an art class. |

Thanks for your ideas. It sure sounds like you are good at motivating the students to get some work done. I think you certainly deserve your free chicken and beer! |

For new years we're going to look at new years resolutions, mebbe try and find a friends episode where they make them. (insert relevant listening exercise here) then we'll make one following a template and then one from scratch.
Thinking of then having guess the persons resolution but it might be a little too personal. We'll see. |
