Well I went out with my coteacher last night.
Found out a high school was asking to hire me at 60,000won an hour for 10 hours. But my principal doesnt like the idea of me teaching other students and my head of english didnt want to ask her.
I was pretty miffed, its entirely out of school and wouldn't affect my teaching at school in any way. Anyway i'm only here another 4 months so I thought I'd check, is there any way to state in your contract that you can work in an extra curricular capacity? The guy in the school opposite has made about $5000 more from the extra stuff, and I cant simply cause my principal doesnt like the idea of sharing the precious foreigner. |

| That has to suck. Is that W600,000 a week you're missing? That's more than you make at your full-time middle school gig, isn't it? Oh well, contracts are contracts and sometimes you have to settle for bronze instead of gold. |

It is illegal to work anywhere other than what was submitted when you applied for your visa. This can be changed, but you have to contact immigration send in some paperwork with your boss's approval.
You can't force your boss to let you work for someone else! |
