Hey all
Just wanted to know if anyone could lead me in the right direction (if there is one). I am looking for a flight to Toronto around Jan 6 for 2 weeks. The prices are outrageous so was wondering if anyone had any leads for me. What prices are normal to pay?
Thanks a lot

What's your definition of cheap? Direct flights to Toronto won't be cheap. You're traveling over the holiday so that will jack up prices. A monday departure can knock $300 off your ticket. Consider 2 or 3 changes to reduce the price. |

Yeah I realize that it is the holiday season so I'm expecting to pay more. I was hoping for about $1500 at the most. I am more than willing to be flexible with dates and to make stops too.
I am planning to go Jan so I thought it would be a little less than over Xmas, but still seems pricey.
Does anyone know what a normal price for this time of the year would be?Is there any travel agent that you would recommend (I have checked the sticky)
Thanks a lot |

Try making a US city your first point of landing. I flew to Toronto last year from here via San Francisco and saved about $400 in the process. But I had to have someone in Canada get me a cheap fare on the SFO-YYZ part of the trip because I couldn't get Air Canada to accept my Korean credit card on line.
But I'm flying back to Vancouver at Xmas and my 1 way ticket is over $1000. about $150 of which is a fuel surcharge. Flying is way more expensive than it used to be. |

Hey all
So after lots of emails and research, it looks like the cheapest ticket to Toronto, Canada in Jan is about 1.3 million tax included. That is with Continental air with a stop in Japan and Newark.
After all my work, my friend from Canada has decided to meet me in Thailand after all.......
Just thought I would pass along the info if anyone was looking.
Thanks for the replies. |
