i haven't posted for a while on here so i hope everyone is doing ok.still not in korea yet and i am frankly running out of time, housing and money stuck in blighty and may have to put it off till the summer .obviously i don't want to be taking the first job that comes along and for various reasons i decided to go with 5 recruiters.because my e-mail is crap they have only had my resume a few weeks, it is perhaps no surprise that no job has come along.to be honest i was expecting a load of e-mails with rubbish jobs on them but not even that.i wanted to go to changwon, masan or busan.at a push jinhae.as a last ditch attampt does anyone have any advice?yes i'm fully prepared, qualified etc.just wanting to jump on that plane!!take care. |

Could you apply to some schools directly? Check here, pusanweb, eslteachersboard, worknplay, englishspectrum, etc, etc. There's a lot of asap stuff listed that would probably be happy to have you. |

You can also post your own resume on some of these sites and wait for the junk emails to arrive, and maybe a good job. That's how I got my 1st job.

Or you could -gamble on the first offer. It's a crapshoot anyway
asking a zillion questions guarantees nothing...
Even with a bad rep chain you might get a good bunch of co-workers and have a good time.
PS What do you mean your e-mail is crap. e-mail is e-mail isn't it? |

I was in a similar position and managed to find a good job in about 2 weeks and was in Korea just days after that. I got about a dozen offers before accepting the job I have now. |

thanks for the advice guys.when i left the post i also e-mailed all of the recruiters basically saying that i'll either go it alone or put korea off until after the summer.low and behold an inbox full of e-mails this morning arranging phone calls etc.it's years since i've used the 'send the lads round'method but i'm glad to see it still works ok!!saying that i've got one recruiter who i hope sorts me out.rooting for him.
two weeks?sounds perfect. |
