|
|
Hi there:
Does anyone know how what exactly is covered under the Korean medical and dental coverage? In partuclar, I am wondering if medications and/or contact lenses will be covered (either partially or in full), or whether I should get a year's supply before leaving Canada. Also, does anyone know approximately how much will be deducted each month for health/dental coverage?
Thanks,
Shikha |

medications are partly covered. Glasses and contacts aren't. Glasses are very cheap here though.
If there's a specific brand of medicine you need, check to see if it's available here before stocking up.
The usual deduction for medical insurance is 2 or 3 % of your monthly pay. |

| As far as I know, there is no dental insurance available to teachers in Korea. |

It isn't a separate policy. My dental work is covered by my medical insurance. Very good coverage, too. |
