| Just out of interest- do you need a Chinese visa to go to Hong kong these days? Can you "cross" from HK into China proper? |

No and no.
You don't need a visa to go to Hong Kong if you are from the States or the UK or Canada etc.
You need a visa to go into China - just because they say so - there is still a border control at Shanzhen, although it is a lot easier for Hong Kongers to pass and for mainlanders to go into Hong Kong for a visit. Other people still require proper verification. |
