They seem to liberally spread it into just about everything - NOT everything, but just about. How can you taste the ingredients, when it's so overpowered by that paste.
Korean food looks to be, almost the same for the 3 meals a day. I know there are exceptions, but by in large, it sure seems that way. A Korean's diet must sure be rather repetitive.
Are there some premium fish they eat. Most of the stuff I see, seems to be what I would call low-grade. In some ways, it almost looks like the olde days of eating anything they found, is still in play.
And can someone tell me, if pushing as much food into your mouth as possible, is considered normal? it does look rather gross.

Sorry, I have a little too much time on my hands so I looked up this character's posting history. Anyone else spot the trend?

I really don't think they have it in their genes to be honest. Just look at all the laws that are flaunted everyday. It appears that to a Korean, if the law doesn't give him an advantage, they just ignore it.
Ethics don't seem to apply here, except maybe with your inner family circle. Everyone else seems to be fair game to cheat.
It really is no wonder that trying to be the Hub of Northeast Asia, is really out of reach, until they realize that other people just won't put up with their bad habits.

I get a great kick out of the shopping channels flogging food/cooking items with the ubiquitous korean family - all stuffing as much food as they can into their mouths, and talking with their mouths full. I wonder who taught them that this is the way to sell things.
The other great ad I love, is when they show a fridge, and the korean princess is fondling it .... like come on .... a fridge ???
There must be some factory somewhere that makes all those really ughly clothes they seem to sell on there too, BUT with some fake label.
Everytime I see some of the bedding items, I know where all my grandmother's old crap went to.
Perhaps one day, they might actually get some taste .. or maybe all that red pepper paste they seem to put on everything, has killed their taste ???

Since I have been here, I've always been amazed that they tend to wander all over the place, with NO regard for their surroundings, or what is going on around them.
They walk down a street, seemingly totally oblivious to that big car coming up behind them. In fact, I've seen them wander toward the car, seemingly unaware.
I know that this society tends to be centered on "them", but how can they not seem to be aware of anything ?
I would love to know how their brain works. Does it reason things out ? Do they weigh the consequences of their actions?
Why do they seem to totally ignore the rule of law?
Why would someone, drive down the other lane, just to get to the front of the line?
Why do buses, go down the wrong lanes, to make turns?
Are motorcycle drivers are morons ? Do they have any sense of safety for themselves or anything else ?
Why do so many of them, moan about the USA, and then try to get there ?
Just a few things to ponder on .....

Can someone tell me how a Korean thinks about an animal? I have just been watching a Korean TV show with animals, and to my mind, it verges right on animal cruelty.
They seem to have no respect for an animal.
Can someone throw some light on this subject??

If the police don't seem to enforce laws, the next question is ::: why do they have police when Everyone seems to just ignore them, or the police just seem to do nothing ????
I have watched as the police pay no mind to someone doing something obviously illegal when driving .. they just seem to not bother .. so, why have them ???

It's time to come to grips with the fact, that with this many cars/etc., you can't just Think You're a Big Cheese, and do things with impunity.

Just cause you have an Equus or Chairman, doesn't bestow rights upon you that others don't have - it just probably means, you're getting most of the graft in your area

We always seem to make excuses for them, it's time they found out that good order requires some respect for the law. Be it driving, or paying off the local official.

I would love to ask someone what they are thinking about when they flout the driving laws here. Do they consciously do it, or just assume --- they are more important than anyone else ?

I do think it's time to crack down on the motorcycles. They are truly a menace to everyone - cars/pedestrians/etc.

________________________________________
I am trying to figure out why they seem to be so absolutely dense .. no apparent recognition that there is anyone else on the road. No recognition that parking their car with their back sticking out in traffic, is close to stupid. I watch people coming home, and their minds seem to be completely blank .. If I had my way, I'd remove the 4 way flashers from the cars here, so they couldn't just stop, throw on the 4-ways, and figure shopping is OK. I know they tend to think of themselves/family as the only people alive, but it's damn infuriating.
Please don't give me the drivel, it's my western standards....they just seem so completely out to lunch. Beep Beep - get out of my way .. there must be NO teaching of traffic rules/standards here at all. They all just seem to wander like this is the old cow pasture back home.
I suppose in the way they think of things here, hitting a child who runs out of an apt door, without looking, or paying any attention is YOUR fault.
I see the police seem to have given up on enforcing the intersection rules..that didn't last very long. And it was interesting to see people *beep* on tv about getting a ticket .. well, last week I did that, and nobody cared...eh gawds !!!!

My advice is to seek counselling from a medical professional or...(well we all know the other option don't we boys and girls).

I love red hot pepper paste !

And I eat a lot of different kinds of Korean food.

And let me say, with some regret, that red pepper paste is only in 40-60% of Korean food, if that. Certainly no more. I can eat out every day for a week and easily not get what I'd prefer to have: that spicy taste.

mmmm...

A little harsh, all the thoughts he/she has had, I have had too.

But there's a difference between an observation combined with genuine curiosity as to what may be the reason for the observed action and trolling. That bloke is trolling. His reason for posting has nothing to do with curiosity or confusion. Or so say I.

People sometimes think I am bashing when I ask about something curious I notice here in Korea, but it's almost never more than me wondering about the how and why of what I have seen. But I'm the type that actually wants to understand why cutting in line is OK.

those kind of posts would be ok (well, merely cliched) if it weren't for the insincere tone of curiosity in them. "Oh, I truly do wonder why everything in Korea sucks and Koreans make me hate them. Gee... And where do angels come from, daddy?"

and ugly has no H.

So I'm trying to think what Korean foods use gochujang...and all I can come up with is bibimbap. And cheese and gochujang sandwiches.
