Photo Report: Police Fire on Farmers, 70 Killed in Southern China
On December 6, about 3,000 armed police fired on the farmers of Dongzhou Village in Southern China who were protesting in front of a power plant. Farmers have been protesting there because the officials took their land to build the power plant while providing little compensation.
Villagers told The Epoch Times that there were as many as 70 villagers killed in the incident.

This is not news or worthy of discussion because the Americans did not do it. |

Sure, whatever you say ya-ta ya-ta ya-ta. Just keep that western investment rolling in by the billions. It's like the globalist hucksters tell us, improvements to human rights & personal liberties are bound to improve in China ... one of these days. |

It would be really nice to see some atheletes brave enough to boycott the Olympics. There's no shortage of reasons to choose from. |

humanitarian concerns are low priority as far as diplomacy with China goes now. jumping on the economic bandwagon is No.1 concern right now. |

I was in central China for 14 months. We were staying at the Marriott(they have cable) when we saw the BBC clip about forced evictions of farmers implicating colluding govt. and police officials. The actual clip showing violence between farmers and hired thugs was blanked out with a running voice commentary only. |

This is not news or worthy of discussion because it's the most favoured trading nation with America.

I'm too lazy to look up the specifics of what constitutes a "massacre", but 70 people!! Jeebus, that's not a massacre. That's an unfortunate event. |
