Someone sent me a package by USPS (U.S. Postal Service) and it arrived in one week. (The same was true of a package sent by UPS.) Yet, another package sent to me by another party using USPS has not arrived after almost two months in transit. What's the deal here? What's the fastest and cheapest way for packages to arrive in Korea from the U.S.?

Depends on how they sent it- air or ground. Air is faster but far more expensive.

Fast and cheap should/can not be used in the same sentence when talking about shipping.

Fast and expensive.
Slow and cheap.

When you send it the slow way they wait for space to be available on the ship they (USPS etc) have purchased space on. Thus, there can be lots of packages back-logged and yours has to wait in line. Another time is can breeze right through. The same goes for clearing the Korean customs house.

My mom sent me two packages a few months ago. The one by ground mail took two months, and the air mail one is two months and counting.

I've also been waiting for about a month for my package from home. Could it be stuck in customs?? Does anyone know how to go about finding out if it is in customs? Unfortunatly, my mom threw away the shipping recipt, so there i have no way to track it.
