Has anyone else had this problem? Say you have a cardphone, and you walk into an LG store, and the girl there instantly looks at you and says "undeyo" and won't help you!!?? I have a card phone, which I've ALWAYS paid at this one particular LG store in my 'hood. However, there's a new girl there now who just won't put money on my phone. I even got her to speak to a Korean friend of mine over the telephone, and she told him that I need to go somewhere else. S'UP!? I got a Samsung Anycall... I've always paid it there.... why suddenly can't I now when she works there. Lazy bitch.
So my question: does this phone work with other companies? I think there is a KT on my street. Maybe another one too. |

They're being d*cks; they either a) are under orders of the management to discontinue the 'yes' card service (I'm assuming you've got a dinosaur, as I had), or are just petrified of dealing with a foreigner. |

Probably the latter, I have had it a few times in outlets where I am unknown. That is why I take my business to the one place I know I will always be helped in a fast and efficient manner. Perhaps the OP should fire off a letter to corporate HQ, making mention of the fact that this kind of thing, if mentioned abroad, could hurt LG's global imagee. |

Its funny, cuz at another LG outlet in downtown (where i also once put money on my phone) the girls there were all confused looking when I gave them my phone, said "card-uh-pone" and slapped down 30,000 won. My Korean friend Sung-Mi overheard their conversation, and it was her conclusion that the girls had no idea what they were doing.
I am thinking they're just untrained idiots. Having worked for Rogers in the past, I know all about the crappy service of cell phone companies... in that their employees are not properly trained whatsoever... uggh, nothing makes me angrier than when an employee pretends that the service is unavailable just cuz they dont know what they're doing!! RRR! |

well, judging from all the cell-phone girls i have seen, i doubt they are hired for their knowledge of the company... more like the outfits they can wear and how htey look in them, but i dont mind... |

Hey you can't really blame it on LG, you know that most of those shops are owned by just regular business people, it's not like those people actually work for LG, or Samsung for that matter. Anyhow there is a good possibility that they don't have any idea what your talking about, should they? Yes. but still I know that they would probably have a difficult time understanding what it was even if a Korean explained it to them. You might just want to get a regular cell phone and pay the bill monthly (I think it's cheaper too) |

So I go into the LG store the third day in a row. The girl there (same girl as first two times) doesn't seem very happy to see me, and instead of saying anything to her, I simply take out my cellphone, an ID card, and some money, and throw it onto the table. She makes a few calls (maybe three in total?) and finally gets my phone back up & running. She said the word "weigook" like 30 times. She finally typed som stuff on a computer, and printed my receipt. Finally, she put inutes on my phone.
Haha! I won. Yaaaaaay.
This is like a scene right out of Seinfeld. All in all, putting 30 bucks on my phone took around 20 minutes. I still don't understand. Why wouldn't she help me the last two times? This time, I simply threw my stuff down without saying a single thing to her, except for verifying the amount. What? Aren't I the one doing LG a favor by giving them business, no tvice versa!??? Still pissed. And I want my 20 minutes back!! |
