Hi,
The Newest update for Windows won't install on my computer. It's for Outlook but i don't use outlook. I have tried a dozen times to install just says it failed to installed it does not give me reason why. I was poking around on the Microsoft website looking for info on it and it said something about a packet but then gives you three different download links each a different size ( I use MO 2003) generally confusing..
On another note, when I type in the hotmail address it takes me to hotmail.org and when open IE it won't go to the msn home page as i have it set to do.. just gives me page cannot be displayed page. It has been really annoying!!! I don't know what is going on? I can access my hotmail sometimes and sometimes it takes me to hotmail sign in page other times it goes to the hotmail.org.
My spyware program (Lavasoft) isn't picking up anything nor has my anti-virus (Avast) both of which are up to date. I am getting frustrated!

On the IE side, you likely have been hit with a browser hijacker.

Delete any IE icons on your desktop, as they can be fakes, and run this:

Don't worry about the reviews of it, as I used it on several computers at work recently, and it was fine. It is simply a removal tool, and that is all it claims to be. Use the wizard.

After it is cleaned, download and use Microsoft Antispyware while it is still free. You can set it to warn you whenever something tries to hijack and change your browser link.

I don't know what to tell you about the Microsoft download problems. Is your windows copy legit? You might want to do a reinstall, keeping the old information.
