|
|
I'm looking for some info on the housing market in Busan. A hagwon in Busan is offering 5 million in key money. furniture, and 100,000 housing allowance/month. Is that amount of key money decent for a somewhat new studio apt in a middle-of-the-road (not literally) location in Busan? What should I expect to pay for monthly rent (obviously it will be more than 100,000)? |

They should definitely be offering you more money for rent - sure you can get a decent place for 5 million key money, but your rent could be anywhere from 300,000 up (imo).
I pay 350,000/mos - no key money - but I live in an officetel.
The aparments the school provides (which they pay for) are 5 million down, plus 500,000/mos. And they are crappy. Hence finding my own.
I would ask that they increase the monthly for you! |

What's with the multiple threads on essentially the same topic? |

Sorry for the multiple threads -- I'm desperate for information because I have to make a big decision quickly -- I'll delete the other two threads since this one is getting more responses.
Officetels do not require key money? That sounds attractive. What are the advantages/disadvantages of officetels? I'm completely unfamiliar with housing in Korea..... |
