|
|
This morning I flushed my toilet and it didnt drain properly. The whole bowl filled with nasty water and slowly drained. My aptment's handyman came this evening and unblocked it for me, but he told me in future not to flush toilet paper down.
Is he joking? Does anyone else have to do this? I've been here 7 months and not had any problems till now |

I had that issue with my first apartment. It was an old house with plumbing that was crap. Apparently not able to handle paper. I left that place as quick as I could! My new place has no problems at all.

Man, a crap-paper bin in your bathroom would be a drag.
What did the maintenance guy do to unplug it? If its worked fine for months, I'd suggest just going a bit lighter on the paper & keeping a plunger handy just in case. |

Definitely invest in a plunger. I've never looked back. I always flush bog roll down the pan and refuse to do otherwise but once I idiotically flushed a big apple core down there whilst rather drunk. Caused real problems...until I bought the magic plunger. An essential part of the kit. |

Also, flush with more frequency. Three to four during one visit is not going to cause a drought. |

Yeah, I think we are all surprised by that at some point in our stay here. Younger Koreans don't give a crap about stockpiling used toilet paper, however. |
