I have been swamped with offers for work in Seoul and am having a heck of a time figuring out where to stay. The first problem is I don't know much at all about cities or subway stops, the second being that I have been searching for days on the web to find info on neighborhoods and good parts of town, but I come up blank. I get a lot of Bangbae- Kangnam area, Dongnimmun, Dae-rim, and Godeok. If I want to live in the thick of things, where should I be looking for? Thank you so much. |

Simply relaying what has been said to me...
Gangnam is an area with a lot happening... Hongdae also as it is a large University region... generally however the main concern should be the best contract as the public transport system is Seoul is excellent... that said it'd make more sense to be on a good subway line, Green Line seems to be what its all about!
I've been using a subway map in conjunction with an administrative districts map to help me figure out exactly where I'd be going for each job... the subway map can be found at

Mademoiselle Hare, I lived in Sinsa, Kangam (1 subway stop from Apkujong, Kangnam) and I loved it--very close to the rest of Kangnam, or a quick subway ride across the river to Itaewon and central Seoul.
I thought it was a good place to live. |
