So... I have a class with 8 girls, all about the age of 12. Of all my classes in a week, it's hands down my favorite.
Upon their finding out that I can cook (and I'm never less than amused when a woman finds out I can) they begged and pleaded for me to make them something to eat for Christmas. At first they wanted a homeade pizza (they know I'm Italian), but after looking around at ingredients and due to the fact I don't own a proper oven, this was an impossibility.
After more kicking and screaming they came to the arrangement that they would buy me a Christmas present if I made them spaghetti from scratch, and true to my word as our class is tomorrow, I have a vat of my family's recipe on the stove as I type these words, if I'm lucky the bay leaves will secrete enough flavor by 3am so that I might go to bed. Though, as a true Italian, it is far more than these little girls can eat, and as such I've decided to bring it in for my coworkers and boss as a Christmas treat.
Just wondering... what have you all done for your coworkers/boss(es) for Christmas? |

Gave them a pillow as a present. Since they like to nap a lot. |

Solly cholly...
I'm open with most recipes, but if I shared that one my grandma would have my hands cut off, or maybe I'd get off lucky and only be without a tongue. |

I'm from Germanic stock. However, I'd bet a few dollars that my recipe is just as good as your own - would you like to trade recipes? I'd pay a lot of cash for a darn good one!
Merry Christmas!

My dear German friend, may you stick to making beer, something your people are good at (though not as good at the UK'ers).... Heh...but no seriously, I can't trade, give, or sell it. Family secret, you won't even get it if you marry into the family.
PS... you can find my Marsala recipe here: http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?p=685589&highlight=#685589 |
