Can someone PLEASE explain the sociological origins, nature, and purpose of this game? I see my kids (and, must also admit that I participate aswell, if only for the chance of being able to hit them without any recourse) playing it all the time.... WHAT THE *beep*?

It originates from one those really stupid (but saddingly the longer I live here half-funny) i am a no talent singer/media *beep* TV shows they have on Sunday night..

Correct me if i am wrong but I think it comes from the show XMan

Well that makes sense... kind of like a bad SNL (or depending on your perspective, based on the decade, an equal version of SNL?)
