Hey all!

I teach kindergaten at a school in the Jungnang area (eastern Seoul, Junghwa subway stop) and we are in desperate need of a male foreigner who could dress up as Santa for our class on Friday of next week (12/23). We would need this person from about 11am to 12:30pm. The costume will be provided and really the only thing that they'd need to do is hand out presents and have their picture taken with the kids. So if you or anyone you know would be interested in helping us out and being Santa for our Christmas party please let me know ASAP!!! And as an added incentive I'll even buy this person dinner. So please, please tell all your friends...we really need to find someone! It just wouldn't be Christmas without a Santa Claus! Wink You can contact me by email at [email protected] or call me on my cell phone at 010-3145-2160.

Thanks everyone & happy holidays!!!
Smile

-Jen

It's kinda naive to think people will want to put up with being santa just for a free dinner. I just got offered 300 bucks to be santa (couldn't take it, not here during christmas)

tell your boss he will need to pay about 50.000 - 100.000 for the time!
a free kimbab dinner wont do it..
your boss is benefitting from this event the parents are happy with the service etc.. but your boss doesnt want to pay for it!!
seriously GOODLUCK!! becuase you will need it!!!

dont you think , you do work for someone you should be paid?
tell your boss that!! what ohhhhhh its for the kids!!?? whatever!!
he is reaping benefits and he is trying to get it off the foreigners back without paying for it.. he sounds like a scumbag!!
the going rate is 50 maybe 70 for a santa gig!!
unless your school is an orpanage or a non profit school, then you are asking for a miracle.. who knows xmas is the time for miracles! goodluck!

Did they specify a white male foreigner? I can think of a good gag in the works here.

Hey c'mon man, it's like i tell my kids: EVERYBODY KNOWS Santa is Canadian of white european descent Wink

Fat Korean Santa living in the North Pole??? Laughing Laughing Laughing

Anyways, if all our beleaguered poster friend here simply wants a male foreigner, why not try finding a Russian or Japanese guy? Lots of middle easterners living in Itaewon. Many of them MALE & "foreign".

What fun. A group of kids pulling on my beard, kicking me in the shins and calling me a fat pig. Just like every day in Korea.

Except this time, you're suggesting I don't get paid for it.

Geez...

Forget I even asked then...

And for everyone's information, I work at a great school, my boss (who is female by the way) is awesome, and really it was me who suggested I might be able to find someone to do this, not her.

But I guess no one will be nice enough to get into the holiday spirit and help out.

Anyway...

PM Zyzyfer.

He's putting on quite a belly and would make an excellent Santa.

If I lived nearer Seoul & had the time I'd do it for nothing for fun.

Suely someone out there isnt a total mercenary grump.

Dudes!!

What if Jen is HOT? What if...santa gets a little extra lovin' this year?

What the hell is wrong with you guys?

She obviously doesn't have a BF, or he'd be santa!

I'd do it but:

I'm not overweight.
I'm not a big fan of the holiday.
I sincerely believe that children are evil incarnate and there's no way I could even pretend to enjoy being around the little fucks.
I'll be out of town.
