| Are the teachers at your school going ga-ga over this, too? I don't know how many times the male teachers at my school have to gather round a computer to watch it. I was dreading this moment for a long time - I can only imagine what ESPN's going to be like for the next month. |

the funny thing... one of my co-teachers is also my roommate. his name is.... Park Jiseong.... yes, the exact same name . so when he watches, i ask him if he is playing, if he scored....
and who cares if they love watching?
I meet with all the americans in my town for monday night football. I stay up until 3 am if the Seattle Mariners are on tv....
if they arent forcing you to teach sentences like "Park jiseong is the best soccer player ever." why does it bother you??? |

I'm from Manchester and love Man United and Park Ji Sung so naturally I've been talking about this pretty much all day non-stop.
Unfortunately I rather took a pee on their parade by politely informing them that Mr Park's inaugural goal occurred in a game in England's worst competition that no-one gives a fook about. When he scores in a league game, we'll talk, but it's a start and I'm pleased for the guy because he really tries and has potential.
I wouldn't mind a link too. I'll make relevant enquiries..... |

Class goal. Saha's second was great too. Cheers for that link - that's awesome. *Nails that to favorites*

lol
In proportion to the number of MU fans in the rest of England and indeed the world, the number of MU fans from Manchester is very small. But rest assured - the ratio of MU fans vs Man City fans in Manchester is 50:50 in my view. When I was growing up, at school we always, without fail, had MU fans v MC fans games - the 7th grades had a game, the 8s, the 9s.....the 11s. There was a line of respective games. There's no shortage of MU fans in Manchester. The thesis that everyone in Manchester supports City is complete *beep* (not that you've said or implied that, YBS). Mind you, I haven't lived in M/cr since 1991 (moved elsewhere in the country when I was 13) so I'm possibly unqualified to comment..... |
