Wow, where do I find these jobs with so many vacations?

I'm in my second year at a hagwon and we get 10 days paid vacation, plus national holidays.

I'm making 2.4, and I like my work environment, but the lack of holidays is annoying.

How difficult is it to make a similar salary with more holidays based on my experience (2 years at a hagwon and a tesol certificate)?

We teach two 15 week semesters. Take away a bit of time off for exams, festivals, national vacations, and the like, and we probably work roughly 6.5 months a year.

not difficult. I make pretty close to you and look at what I get.

You can't just settle on the first thing that lands in your lap. Look for it and you'll find it.

get a public/private school or a university job and you'll be set. Hagwon life is not worth it over the long term. It's a great way to start, but after 2 years it's definitely time to try something that will allow you to have a personal life.

Only one week in hagwon land, and that was just over a week ago, but since I have Fridays off too I add another 51 days to the equation and like to think I have nearly two months' vacation in all.

i had a week off last xmas, but it was requested, and unpaid. i took a week off, unpaid, as well, my first year here, for some reason. so, 2 weeks in 3 years. i am going mad. but there are the long weekends now and then...they're nice..they keep me from biting my ear off.

i finish in 4 months. think i'll take a whole month off then, before trying to figure out how to make money again. one sweet month in the dead of winter of canada. sigh..can't wait.

If those who get a lot of vacation time get paid, great. If not, I imagine it is costly.
