Hi,
Are you interested in taking Korean lessons? I'd like to get a couple of people together (3-5 ideally) to take a class together at KLA in Kangnam. They would be 'private' classes. I'm of a high novice level. If you are of a similar level and live nearby let me know as soon as possible.
I think the price would be about 15-17000won per hour and I'd like to go for a couple of hours a week (at least 2).
You can check out the website and get an idea of your level at www.seoul-kla.com
Cheers!
Kyle

Yeah, I'm up for anything. I would guess that I'm probably a "high beginner" as well....or maybe a little higher.
DOing a private class at KLA wouldn't be cheaper on an hourly basis but it would give more flexibility in terms of when we wanted the classes and how many classes we wanted to take.
I'll PM you about it.
Anyone else interested??? reply here or PM me. |

Hey, KLA has moved, looks like they're doing well for themselves. I enjoyed taking their classes and thought it was a well-run and reasonably priced place to take lessons- hope you find more people to take a class with Kyle. |

It sounds interesting, when do you think the class would be?
I actually live in Incheon, but since I have had absolutely no luck with finding classes nearby, I am desperate enough that I just might be willing to commute to Gangnam for classes. I would only be available though, on weekday mornings, or weekday nights after 9.
Incidentally, I'm actually a member of a language exchange club that meets in Gangnam on Sunday nights. New members are always welcome. PM me if you'd like more info. |

KangnamDragon, FierceInvalid, and sonDuero,
I visited KLA this am. looks like it would be about 17000won each per class for four of us. That would be about 140 000won for a month if we wanted to take two classes a week.
How does Tuesday and Thursday mornings sound? Evenings work for me as well but I'd rather not sacrifice my weekends....
If you are serious about taking a class PM with times that you are available.
Anyone else out there wanting to get in on the action drop a line! |

Yeah, I'm interested. Too bad I live in Daegu. Does anyone know of the Daegu class at the moment? I'm at Hayang. I heard there was one at one of the universities. |

I'm seriously thinking about it... just dug out my text book this week, but it's a bit droll on my own... |

Michelle,
I'm looking into these two for september:

http://www.knu.ac.kr/english/eng/main.htm
The Daegu university one seems to be the cheapest for the university courses; the YMCA in downtown Daegu also teaches a Saturday morning class, mostly taught by volunteers, that is pretty good. |
