Interesting.

I wonder how they think about the SOFA in comparison to this?

Thanks: I know where the accident took place.

The question was for where the demonstrations would take place. Rolling Eyes

This could either cause a lot of confusion or a lot of silence.

South Korean drivers take their bad driving with them everywhere they go. I think this is a South Korean thing. It's no coincidence that South Korea has got the highest rate of accidents in the world. Something NK doesn't need - another bad aspect of South Korean capitalism.

Has anyone really noticed the signifigance of this?

"A Unification Ministry official said under an inter-Korean agreement Jung faced a warning or a fine in the North, or would be deported to South Korea to face punishment here."

U.S. solidiers do something that is not criminal while on duty(albeit may have a bit of stupidity mixed in) and South Koreans and their government want to just forget about the SOFA agreement.

Wonder what will happen if the North Koreans want to dole out punishment...

I believe you are wrong. They have the highest in the OECD...

Yes, and I believe they officially blame that on pedestrians, don't they? It's interesting how that article hints that the driver may have been drunk, and may face punishment, but there's no suggestion whatsoever that the Nork pedestrians may have strayed into the vehicle's path. The streets are bare in the North, so I doubt your average Nork is highly alert to the dangers of traffic hazards. If that's the case, I wonder if we'll be seeing candle-light vigils, and "No service to Southies" signs at Mt. Keumgang when the driver is exonerated. Or better yet, I wonder how long until people start finding ways to blame it on the US.

That innocent Korean would not have been behind the wheel of a car if it had not been for the mass production theories and techniques of that American Jackal Henry Ford!!!!!

Well, this is an interesting situation!

1. Cannot blame it on foreigners. No waygooks in North Korea.

2. Cannot blame it on the North Koreans, because we do not want to upset them in any way, shape, or form.

3. Cannot blame it on the South Korean, because they just cannot be blamed.

Did anyone see a deer or animal that popped out and startled the driver? Perhaps a tiger from the DMZ?
