The extent of mine..

BEIJING - found the expat scene.. started talking to some Chinese girl until found out she was a prostitue.. walked around and propositioned by another girl.. never found where regular Chinese go out if they even do. The expat scene appeared very large and good though. I'm sure there is a lot more to explore there.

SHANGHAI - wandered around THE BUND area for a few nights looking for wherever its suppose to be happening. Never found it. Curious where its at, as those who know it, seem to love it.

KUNMING - Camel Bar and Camel II.. both were fun laid-back places.. lots of expats.. tried talking to a chinese girl who ended up not knowing any English and she seemed like yet another hooker.. so didn't bother anymore. Found the full-on Chinese places as well.. but foreigner was fairly ignored.. although an ABC-guy (American-born Chinese) was with a local girl saying how incredible China is for him - he was an older ABC guy.

CHENGDU - A few expat bars around.. seemed incestuous again much like being in small Korean towns where all the expats know each other. Found where the Chinese go.. some dancing girl place with lots more ABC guys and Taiwanese businessmen and such.. a bit expensive.. nothing I'd enjoy much on a regular basis if lived there. Out of price range, and not really that great.

LESHAN - VERY CHINESE. I tried to find bars/clubs or something.. most places were gambling places for locals.. drinking/gambling places.. thought if I knew that game, would be fun to really go local or something.. but I was a freak just walking around there with the open-eyed curiousity.
