I have family in the States who, as I type this, are trying to call me for Christmas. It keeps coming up busy or "no such number".

The phone isn't off the hook.

011 is the international access from the US
82 is SK's country code
562 is Pohang
054 is my "area" code? (its the first three digits in my seven digit house phone number)

Any help would be most appreciated.

Yes. Drop the '0' in the area code.

What do you think I've been doing over the course of the past two months? Still kinda nice to know they can get ahold of me when they want/have to.

My family is having trouble calling me from the states. I live in Busan, so my area code is 51. So, they should dial

011 82 51 (7 digit number)

Is that right? I am not sure if their calling card is wierd or what is going on. Can anyone offer me any advice?

Thanks!

That looks good to me. I lived in Toronto and sometimes my phone (calling card) would send a busy signal but my G/F was not on the phone. If you try that number and still need help PM and get my Girlfriend to look it up for you.

Good luck

If they are calling direct from their telephone, that is most likely what they should be dialing. However, if they are using a calling card of sorts then they need to be following the directions of the calling card - usually eliminating the need for dialing "011."
