Ok, people obviously like to fight on this forum, and if I have ever seen two people fight like cats and dogs it would have been over this topic. So, what do you think, cats or dogs and more importantly why (otherwise there will be no fighting)?

Dogs are delicious.
Dogs are cute.
Dogs are cuddly.
Dogs have personality.
Dogs can play Frisbee.
Dogs can swim well, and fetch logs.

Cats just give me hives and remind me I'm allergic to them.

Right at this moment I prefer cats to dogs because my dog has decided that he likes barking at 1 am (new thing) and he's really stinky, but I can't bathe him because he spends most of his time outside and it's too cold for him to be wet and outdoors. Grrr...

But most of the time I like them both. Confused

I took my 95lb. super-friendly, goofy samoyed to the beach; he went off to smell the flowers and I was assaulted by a stanger; he came roaring back like a rabid rottweiler and sent the guy to hospital.
Dogs, definately, dogs.

Cats, hands down. Cats have personality and they're independent. They don't need to hang out with you, they choose to hang out with you...sometimes. Dogs are rather over-dependent creatures-"please like me, please like me" and they smell, IMHO. There are some cool dogs, you know, the real dogs, big and burly and useful, but not the "kick-me" dogs- not that I ever would, but bloody hell, the yapping and rat-like appearance... can they really be called dogs?

While in search of Christ, I discovered that cats have been corrupted by Satan, and as subsequently, should be avoided at all costs.

http://dbhome.dk/carlo/cat.htm

This reputable, illuminating resource can help you become aware of the Beast within all felines.

(Pure evil, baby.)

I once saw a calico cat devour a coked-out, anorexic midget whilst it composed a pornographic haiku with its bloodstained paws:

Sister softly kips
Bukkake will be her dream
Sperm I spray to thee

(To those who would jeer at the cat's ability to compose an epigrammatic Japanese verse form of three short lines, please cut the beast some slack; it began choking on a goddamn midget bone halfway through its maniacal endeavor.)

At that time I was a devotee of Satan, but even so, such atrocious imagery caused me to look away, and find salvation in Jesus Christ, a dog man if there ever was one. Glory be to God.

P.S. I own two cats. Neither are calico, however, and thus my soul is free from feline occupation.

Always been a cat person but those little ****** can aggravate the living hell out of me sometimes. Never had a dog but I fear they'd get on my last nerve with their need for constant attention. With a cat they'll take you or leave you. They chose you...not the other way around. If a cat likes me I know it means something. Dogs like anyone with a leg they can hump!

I prefer dogs as companions.

As for cats, I find it depends on the sauce.
