For regular classes?
Around 10,000 won.

For extra classes anywhere between 20,000 and 50,000.

20,000 where I work, but my last school was 30,000 and I have a friend working at Korea University where they get either around 35,000 or 50,000 depending on the department.

Oh, does your univ. force a few hours of overtime on you? Or do you have a choice? Have any universities been known to force a lot of OT on a teacher?

Thanks for your answers.

I'm forced to teach 2 hours a week at 10,000 per hour OT.

Other OT at higher rates is sometimes offered, sometimes "strongly encouraged" Wink

I get 30 or 40 000 per class (45 min). Voluntary, but its dodgy.

Can't remember if it's 15 or 20 thousand per hour...but we get a ridiculous amount of paid vacation. I won't be going back to work until early March.

yes - next semester we have been told that everyone will be getting an average of 18 hours/week. Though fall semester will once again be light.

It really depends on the university as it varies a lot. Some schools pay as much as 50,000 an hour.

Last I checked, Pusan National University (one of the top schools in Korea) pays 6,000 an hour! Twisted Evil
