Yes, hard to believe, but 20 years ago today, The Rocker perished. Thin Lizzy would have been huge during the retro craze of the late 80's. Too bad. Let's just remember "Whiskey in the Jar" and all the Lynott classics.

Good post. Phil and Co. were good for a lot more than that one song, however; their twin guitar attack was aped by a lot of other bands, including Iron Maiden and Def Leppard, who started off as a Lizzy cover band.

"Live & Dangerous" is still one of the best live albums of all time. I can't get enough of 'Massacre' and 'Dancing In The Moonlight'.
