White Rock RCMP Looking For Teenager Who Shoved a Senior
Dec, 30 2005 - 1:50 PM
White Rock RCMP are looking for a teenager who shoved a senior into traffic at rush hour yesterday.
Police say the 81 year old victim was standing on the sidewalk when he was approached by three males.
One teen said "do you want to die," and pushed the man in front of a moving car.
The driver was able to stop in time, so the victim wasn't injured.
The suspect is Asian, between 15 and 17 years old with long black hair.
His two companions were white. |

long haired asian guy hanging out with white friends. bet that'll be a real difficult search. if he's dumb enough, maybe they'll catch him in a barber shop holding the newspaper with this article. |

I noticed the OP highlighted "do you want to die", presumably because he thinks it has some significance for his "Korean" theory. But that phrase is a common taunt among Canadian youth, or at least it was when I was in high school, mid-80s. |

Ah, I remember! In nearby Kamloops, B.C. kids used to say with intimidation: "wanna die, hmmm?"
gawd i hated grade school. yahoos like that didn't end up in university, or at least not for long. |

You guys haven't ever spoken with any Koreans, have you?
Dying in Korean slang is as common as breathing. |

Ha! Not that the story is funny, but even now (a year after being home) my husband and I say "Chu-keh-ta" (do you want to die) in Korea to each other as a joke. We would totally associate that phrase with Koreans. |
