Kerry Positioned for '08 White House Bid
By ANDREW MIGA, Associated Press Writer
Mon Jan 2, 9:58 AM ET
WASHINGTON - It's almost as if Sen. John Kerry never stopped running for president. He still jets across the country, raising millions of dollars and rallying Democrats. He still stalks the TV news show circuit, scolding President Bush at every turn.
His campaign Web site boasts of an online army of 3 million supporters.
The Massachusetts Democrat, defeated by Bush in 2004, insists it is far too early to talk about the 2008 race, but some analysts assume he has already positioning himself for another shot at the White House.
"Obviously, Kerry has all but said he wants another crack at the thing," said Neal Thigpen, a political science professor at South Carolina's Francis Marion University. "He's going to make a second try."
While most losing presidential nominees quickly fade into the political landscape, Kerry has worked hard at maintaining a high public profile.

How about that eh? "Strawman" Kerry once again fighting to take care of the Democrat side of Presidential politics. How refreshing

Kerry will never get elected for the following reasons:
#1 Americans wont want it to look like they made a mistake electing Bush in 2004
#2 Kerry already lost his bid and no one will back a loser
#3 The last few years has been difficult for America. They dont need reminders of the past
#4 Kerry was not believable in 2004. What has changed?
#5 The Bush campaign exposed him for a flip flopper simpleton. Not a good character trait of the leader of your country
Just my opinion .2004 is over lets move Mr. Kerry. |

John Edwards, on the other hand, is a viable candidate for '08. |

If there's one thing I learned from the last election it's that everybody is absolutely wrong about predicting candidates from the challenging party. You're wrong, so are you, and you and you. And me. It could be Kerry or Edwards or Clinton or that Virginia governor or Obama or anybody but any guess we make now is guaranteed to be wrong.
The other thing I learned is that the media can make a candidate look any way they want. Last time they were all flip-flop Kerry, hahahaha, this time if they felt like it they could have him come across as a wise former soldier and patriotic statesman. It's really up to them. |

Yah, from what i've heard, like Klinton, he's been approved by the Bilderbergers

btw - Whatever happened to Howard Dean ???
Bush's cousin "Skull & Bones" Kerry magickally just kinda slipped right in there.

I think it'll be Gore. He reminds people of the good Clinton years without the baggage of being a Clinton. He also has the advantage of seeming to be boring. After Bush, I think people want someone who seems steady and boring. |

True, I doubt the Dems would be suicidal enough to choose the same out-of-touch coastal elite lady's boy to try again after getting thumped.
They might go with Obama, but he's too young and the Islamic skelteons in his "goat-herding" Dad's closet preclude him. A few choice commercials and he will be destroyed.
The man who used his poor goat-herding father (a wealthy Muslim Kenyan who ABNADONED him and his WHITE Mom) as his raison d'etre at John "give me an heiress...please" Kerry's coronation won't fly with America.
I'm sorry but Obama is a fraud. However, he does an amazing impersonation of Clinton, another fraud.
America, hopefully, is way past being swayed by millionaire's blathering about "their humble roots", something trial-lawyer pretty boy John Edwards will no doubt try again.
And mith, it's no longer about the media, it's about the internet. The SwiftBoat Veterans sank Kerry, FOR GOOD.
In fact, the more I think about it, Hilary is the only intelligent choice for the Dems, which means it'll be Condi in 08, most likely. |

Definetely don't see Kerry in there. He didn't run a very good campaign campaigning as 'Bush Lite' (as seen my democrats/liberals).. and as 'yet another rich liberal Massachussets person' (as seen by southerners/republicans/conservatives).
Edwards looked really good to me. I'd vote/support him in a heartbeat. |

Lieberman. But the Democrats don't like him.
He would be an excellent leader. |

I'm hoping for a Dennis Kucinich miracle... He's the best peace candidate. His views on Iraq seem a lot more credible in retrospect. If he can pick up major funding from somewhere I think he's got a good shot to win it all (maybe with Oprah - or Barbara Boxer - as VP...) And, being vegan, he's perfectly positioned to pick up the underrated "vegetarian vote" whose ranks should swell after propagation of this video:

The only thing more scary than a fundi Christian in the White House would be a fundi vegan in the White House (and I am not joking, seriously).
(Though, this guy might not be a fundi vegan, just guessing) |

"Meat-lovers" and people who support the unnecessary slaughter and abuse of millions of poor animals daily will encounter many scary things this life and the next - like "instant karma"... |
