|
|
Im a returning teacher to Korea. I previously taught in Bundang (Seohyeon St.) and enjoyed the area very much. Im heading back to Korea in March and will possibly be accepting a position at a public school in Hanam city (not Hannam-dong). The name of the school is Hanam Elementary School and it is located at Cheonho Station (east Seoul at the crossing of lines 5 and 8 ).
Im not very familiar with this area seeing as though Ive never had a need to go there. Does anyone have any information about this area, be it good or bad? Is it convenient to travel into Seoul? Are there many foreigners? Is it clean/dirty? City/suburban/farm land?
Ive tried looking information up on the internet, but there isnt much out there. If anyone could help me out with any information, I would be very grateful. Thank you! |

| Hanam is pretty suburban, and it's about a half hour away from Seoul by city bus. Fairly convenient to get to Seoul, unless you're into drinking in Hongdae |

so basically - although you were TOLD Hanam Elementary School AT Hanam City - AT CHEONHO Station - it really means than Cheonho station is really just the LAST BEST station inside Seoul (Before you hit the country (Kyeonggi-do area) to catch a bus from - and then you will be travelling 40~50 mins to Hanam City where you will then have to walk to your school.....
P.S. Your apartment and school will most likely be IN Hannam City (country side area/city in Kyeonggi-do and NOWHERE near Cheonho station)...
sorry to disappoint you - but recruiters can be misleading in order to get you into the job..... |
