So I leave for Seoul (well, Bundang) in ONE WEEK and I have no idea what I am going to do without the good ol' NHL. Is there anywhere anyone knows about that a good ol' Canadian girl can get her hockey fix? What if my Flames take the cup this year and I have to hear about it after?! What will I do? Any help ANYONE can offer would be fabulous.

Yeah I went through 4 years of that( well 3 actually because of the strike) and this is what got me through it-not as good as watching it but if you're a Flames fan then it's better than reading about them the next day. It was free and I think it still is.

As a fellow hockey addict, I know exactly what you are going through.

The Rocky Mountain Tavern in Itaewon shows hockey games. It looks like they are showing your Flames on Sunday at 11:30. Here's their website.
http://www.rockymountaintavern.com
They post a schedule but it is often late and outdated. It is located in Itaewon, subway line 6, and there are directions located on the website.

Also, there is an Asian hockey league in Anyang, which is a suburb south of Seoul (subway line 4, Beomgye Station, then take a cab). Here is the website to the Asian hockey league:

And how will the Flames win the cup when the Oilers are going to kick the hell out of them in the playoffs??

There is an ice hockey stadium (or is it called a "rink"?) here in Anyang, about 45 minutes to an hour out of Seoul by subway... though come to think of it there isn't a station quite close to it. Indeogwan station would be the closest. They have signs advertising a team called the Anyang Halla. Also, I watched the Kimchi Cup earlier this year, which seems to have been organized by a bunch of Canadian drinkers at that famous Canadian pub in Itaewon.

The best thing about living in Korean i NOT having to listen to all the hockey drivel and pathetic stories on this or that team or player! The second best thing is not having to hear a single thing about Quebec in 7 years. (love the province, hate the politics)

Wow.... Confused That kinda came out of no where.

The worst thing about Korea...listening to weirdo English teachers having a rant that has nothing to do the topic. The second worst thing, COMMIES!! SadP.S. In case you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic).
