Hi,
I saw some posts on taxes in korea for teaching income, but does anyone know what rules apply to taxes in our home countries? (mine is US) I am thinking of transferring 1,000 or so each month to my american bank account so i can pay my american credit cards, student loan, etc. Do I have to declare anything to US for that? Is it taxable income in the US since I'm making income in Korea? What are the general rules that apply to that?

Foreign income up to 80,000 USD is exempt from income taxes.

Do a search for income tax & you'll find a wealth of information (as this issue is revisited ad nauseum each tax season).
