I'm in the market for a suit. Where do you think the best place to get a suit is? By best, I mean best quality and price.

Korea---Itaewon I'm asked all the time.
Hong Kong
Bankok
Taipai
Beijing
Vietnam

I have had suits made in Itaewon, and I have had suits made in Vietnam. By far, the suits made in Vietnam are of a much higher quality and a much lower price. I actaully got 3 made while I was in Vietnam and I have never had such nice fitting suits before. The little shop/tailor was just new and the lady was just looking for business so she gave me a great deal compared to every other taylor that was in the area (I went in about 14-17 places). They are also much quicker there. I know people who got some made in Thailand and Vietnam and they said the ones in Vietnam are much better and cheaper. One person said their suit from Thailand came apart and the seams, and the other person said their suit and different lengths in the arms. I don't know about Hong Kong, Beijing or Taipei though. Hope this helps. Also, the city where they really do them well in Vietnam is awesome.

Hoi An. It's about an hours drive south of Danang in central Vietnam. Most charming city in the country. Apparently during the war, both sides agreed to not fight in the city or bomb it to preserve it's unique character. You will see about 100 or more tailors there.
