Hi
I've got a question about the status of my visa. I've been in Korea for 14 months, and am into my second year at the same school. my e-2 registration card has been updated at the immigration office (Incheon) to reflect the extension of my visa for another year but my passport only shows that I have a tourist visa.
What's the story? I had a Korean teacher ring the office to check and they said it was fine, but I don't trust these people. I may found out that I'm illegal when I least expect it.
Is there a problem here, or is this just another funny inconsistency in the land of the not quite right? |

What?Not trust them?Why,pray tell?
Seriously,I think you are okay on this one,if the alien registration card is updated to show the time extension.Similar thing just happened to me...I was told the same thing.I do trust them on this one.I think you are okay on this one.Just do not lose the alien registration card. Then you might have problems. |

I got my e2 from the Incheon office, as I said. Perhaps it makes a difference at other offices? |
