my best friend and i were at tinpan one on sunday night. we got very drunk and seperated. the next call i got from him was in the hospital. terrible things, orbital lobe fractured, maybe caving in, cranial fractures. etc. he thinks there were more than one. and he also thinks that they might have been koreans.
so i am begging for anyone who may have been in that area that night, and noticed any altercations of any kind.
he's in the hospital for min two weeks. his face looks bloody aweful. and they won't let his insurance cover it, because he got beat up, the catch of course, is that he really doesn't remember anything at all. except being pushed down and then being kicked repeadedly in the head.
please please if anyone knows anything any details at ALL. i would be so much appreciative. this is my only best friend in seoul. we've know each other for only a year and half but it seems like we grew up together. so this is really important for me (and of course for him). at the very least he wants to know WHY the fight was had. but preferrably descriptions of the boys who mutilated my lovely boys' head.
here i am begging. but it would so help. |

The story seems awful (awfully fantastic enough to be a troll).
Maybe you are not thinking though: The probability that some Dave's poster saw this event, and that he or she will read this thread, AND post, AND want to get involved is like in the millions to one odds.
Do what the Koreans do: put up a banner at the site with contact info and a reward or a nicely worded plea and wait. People do offer help apparently because this is done quite often.
Good hunting on either count. (Btw, I saw noone) |

I read in another post on Dave's that someone saw (from his apartment window) someone getting beaten up, kicked, etc. I don't know who it was or which thread it was in. Do a search...see if that brings anything up. |

Oh Xerces, another nice Daves reply. "Troll! Troll!" How nice. If I was to be as useless as you I would point out that the proper use of "altercation" would be in circumstances involving no physical injury as an outcome.
Instead, to the OP, that sounds terrible, hope your friend is on the mend. |

hey that really sucks..check out the bar and see if the have CCTV, or any other bar along that strip. Look up and around the buildings and see what you can find. Im sure there is more cameras there than one can imagine seeing as trouble happens quite often in that hood
Good luck

You can fracture an orbital roof. Maybe that's what happened. |

Good point, that orbital lobe must be either jiggled, bruised, scrambled, or mushed but not broken. Maybe the OP means the skullbone around the orbital/eye region was broken. |

My son was assaulted a few years ago. His eye was laying on his cheek!! They had to completely redo everything. |

He's not the first one. Nothing u can do for him.
ESLers be warned.
Booze + seedy neighborhood + lateness of hour = unforseeable circumstances. |
