I'm thinking of developing a database for all the students of our hagwon and wanted to buy Access.
I thought that someone on the board had better luck with other software?
Thanks |

Well they do have a free version of it on their website.. Well Trial any way. I use to do some extensive stuff on it. I liked it from DB perspective. |

Access almost anyone can use. The big difference between Access and SQL Server is that the Access database requires to be open and closed and sent back and forth over the network while SQL Server just moves the data.
Sometimes when you get a website package, you will get a throttle/limit on the traffic. You'll smoke the limit doing the above.
MySql is way over the head of the hawkwan users. |

Filemaker is stupid easy tho. Its mostly Wysiwig type interface, so simple use interface is a breeze. They have a good community and good tutorials. |

I live down in Jeonju...is there a place I can buy this here? I really don't want it shipped, because I want to start building it as quick as possible to set up for this hagwon.
Thanks for the info so far....It's good! |

I believe you can download directly from filemaker as a retail and as a trial demo.. Or Torrent it and try it out first. |
