I've been searching for over two weeks with no positive responses. Please provide some input if you can.
The problem may be that even though I am a Korean-American from the U.S., my citizenship is still with South Korea. I will be becoming an American citizen soon though, once I return.
Maybe I look too "young" and "domestic" so that could be a turn off. I'm 21 years old
This is my first time being back in Korea in over 12 years... I'm here as an exchange University student.
Where do I search ?
I would like to work Part time or a position that doesn't require a 1 year contract. I've been here since August of 2005, I will be returning to the U.S. after the end of spring semester (July of 2006)
I can work throughout the Spring semester too
I suppose the only place that will hire me are hogwons but I can't seem to find any. Did I mention I have no prior experience teaching? but give me one week and I will be already comfortable teaching students.
I did find one place that I could've worked at through connections but I turned that down. In hindsight, that was a big mistake.
My primary source for finding potential jobs has been Englishspectrum |

you need to look at Korean sites.
you cant get an E-2 or an F-4, I assume cause your a student that you dont have a degree, so the chances of teaching in a hagwon are slim.
You are a korean citizen, so there is a good chance of getting pulled into the military.
your better off tutoring, than getting p/t work for a hagwon or anything like that. |
