So, I have this great opportunity to bring back English teaching materials to Korea.

What do you absolutely wish you had - music, movies, cartoons, books, magazines, games, whatever

- OR -

maybe you think that extra teaching materials aren't necessary, you being you is more than enough for the kids.

Can't wait to see what everyone has to say!!!

Depends on the age group and level, but at my job, I'd find it hard to function without photos or flashcards for vocab, and god help me if costco stops carrying construction paper!

There are a bunch of DVD's I'd like to get for winter / summer break lessons or the last week of the term. In particular I'd like some familiar anime cartoons in English with English subtitles. I'd also like to get some prizes that are unique to Canada. I'd like to see if I could find a huge bag of scrabble chips - just the chips. There are various props and foods from home I'd like to use for show-and-tell lessons. I'd like a complete set of Canadian, American, and UK currency up to $20 / L10.

The rest of my bag I'd fill up with deoderant.

I'm always on the look-out for good games. Go to a shop that sells "educational" toys and look around. Lots of things will work well with Korean students. I recently brought back a game called "Who, What, Where" which has worked really well with my students. Because of weight considerations, I would toss most of the packing...and even the box! All you need are the game pieces and board.
