Hey all,

Lately been doing alot of thinking and reading about the big picture...

Ive been reading books, listening to audio tapes etc and am interested in sittin down with some knowledgeable folks on the subjects of paper, and real estate investments.

Maybe what you have been doing, what you are planning to do etc....

Coffee shop Sunday sort of thing... somewhere central Seoul......

Any thoughts?

I'm interested. I have a good amount of money saved up. Always wanted to do the Mickey Rourke in "Wild Orchid" thing, buy one little house and end up with hotels in Brazil. But am having trouble getting motivated to do it, and not just hord cash. I just keep thinking: "cash is the most valuable thing." Also I kind of wanted to buy a compound in Phnom Penh. PM if you want, maybe we can chat sometime.

Hey I'll check and see if my hubby would be interested. He used to have a website that people would pay to access involving investing strategies and what stocks to buy. He was in high school! Did pretty well from what I understand. Still invests...I'll see if he'd want to chat.

Sounds like could be interesting. I know virtually nothing about stocks. However I have been doing alot of research on Real Estate. I have been kicking around the idea of returning to Canada, establishing a real estate C corporation and puchasing properties. Utilizing investing capital from Canadians currently living and working in Korea.

Most people are hesitant to invest in real estate while overseas given tax ties to Canada, but to my understanding, investing through a Corportation wouldnt tie them directly to investments

To my understanding, corportations exist as a seperate entity from investors. Like creating a person to invest on your behalf. Therefor that corporation is subject to its own tax laws.

Just my thoughts, would enjoy sitting down and having a chat with everyone. How are Sundays? what about location?

Man you guys are so much smarter than me. I learned financial responsibility by maxing out my credit cards and finally going broke after ten years of charging. Now I'm 28 and have a US$20,000 hole to climb out of (and that's just the credit card!). I hope to reach zero net worth by by 30th birthday, and then begin investing.

By the by, I keep seeing investor club sorts of things listed in the K-Scene or whatever it's called. Not sure if it's shite or right, but that's another option.

Careful you don't reply to an ad and get sucked into a multi-level-marketing scam. Some of them are legitimate (think Mary Kay and Avon) and some are just pure pyramid scams. Anyway, they will advertise themselves as all kinds of different stuff.

anyone know sombody with some law back ground?? I would like to get more information about corporation law.

Joe, I was there. Got my head above water now. Loans down to nothing...... almost nothing now.

I have some audio tapes that may have some good info for everyone. Rich Dad Poor Dad series. Has alot of information about evaluation of finances, and getting yourelf out of debt.

For a buck a CD I could copy them for anyone interested. Knowledge is power. I am planning to go home at the end of June for good, after almost 3 years. Would welcome anyone interested in doing some investing a well planned real estate investment scheme

I've read the three key books in that series (RDPD, Cashflow Quadrant, and the other one). Are these audiobooks of the books, or something else? I'm interested, and I second your recommendation of these books to others!

Too bad the electonic money you have been hoarding is not worth the paper it was printed on. If the world economy crashes again, which someday it will. Your cash will not be worth too much.
