I think LG IBM is basically LG manufacturerd to look like IBM.. There is no more IBM laptops they are now Lenovo. |

LG IBM is IBM as far as laptops went- they had a partnership in Korea for 8 or 9 years. But the partnership is over and LG makes its own laptops. Nobody is seeing new laptops for sale still branded as LG IBM are they?  |

I saw LG IBM "Xnote" laptops in Yongsan last year. The newer Xnotes are branded LG.

| IBM doesnt make laptops anymore. Its a Chinese company producing them under the IBM name. So basically and LG IBM is an LG under the IBM name. |

I believe it is the same situation as Lotte Canon, etc.... the foreign company must group with/be sponsored by a parent Chaebol.
Something like that? It doesn't necessarily mean they were manufactured here. In any case, our school bought several IBM laptops a few years ago, and they are still doing very well. |
