|
|
Well, my winter vacation started, and I want to get around the city and see all the things I haven't seen yet.
I've lived in Busan for two years, but haven't necessarily taken advantage of all the parks, temples, museums, attractions, etc.
What would you recommend? Please include directions on how to get there. |

| I was in Busan for the first time about a month ago for a few days. One of the more thoughtful and impressive sights for me was the U.N. Memorial Cemetary. It's easy enough to get there...line 2 to daeyeon station, and from there its about a 15 minute walk toward Gwangali (sp?). I have a few days off next week and am coming to Busan again (I loved the place...) so I hope to get to Beomeosa temple this time. |

Take a day trip to Gyeongju if yo uhaven't been already. Be sure to see Seokguram (don't know about the spelling, but its the giant stone buddha) and the big temple (maybe bulguksa). Sorry I can't remember the names, but if you look at any tourist website these will be the top two places listed. I also liked anapji pond.
In Busan, I think the aquarium in Haeundae is fun. Beomeosa temple at the end of one of the subway lines is great. Less crowded than Bulguksa, but still beautiful. There are several other nice temples around too. Haedong Yonggung Temple is another nice temple. Very small, but by the sea and quite peaceful. Check out this website for more info on the sites:
