Does anyone know what's happened to the job information journal where teachers can report their experiences at certain schools? Has Dave canned it? Whenever I try to access it, I get sent to the regular discussion forums.

It was killed.

It was a throwback from the early days of daves when discussion forum posts werent archived. Redundant now.

It had a quirky flavor all its own though. I remember poring over those entries back in 1999 as I pondered a future in Asia.

Why is it redundant? I was a little shocked to see it disappear. There was certainly alot of information and many good opinions and tips there too.

If it has been killed, the link should be as well.

Wouldn't happen to have been canned because some hogwans were complaining to Dave about negative comments about their school, would it? Just a thought.
I did hear that certain posts over on the Japan forum were deleted because some schools complained about the negative comments made.

There's a sticky on the worldwide discussion forum on why it was killed,
something to do with incompatability of the old and new software or something.

I did find it useful, and I don't think the forum as it stands is as good without it.

The problem here is that posts get buried after a few days and many times when questions are asked about a school.....nobody seems to know anything.

At least with the journal, a person could look through some other people's
experiences and check up on certain schools.

But there is still the English school watch site.. Wink
