Anyone ever done this? I'm imagining something like:

"I, (name), hereby tender my resignation from (school) as of 24 February 2006."

or should it be:

"I, (name), hereby resign my job effective 30 days from 26 January 2006."

Any help would be good - want to keep it simple. Yes, "I quit" is too simple.

BTW - amazed at the things I've had to do here....

My favored resignation will read something like this:

To Whom It may Concern:

I find for reasons of baseball I can no longer work at your fine establishment. During the career of Barry Bonds he has had a profound influence on my life. With his injuries last year that kept him out of most of last seasons Giant's games I do not wish to take any chances. I must and will support this great athelete by faithfully attending all of his games. Due to his recent declining of a spot in the World Baseball Classics I find it all the more imperative to witness this great baseball legend final season.

I would like to point out I enjoyed working for you alot. You were very helpful when I first arrived in your country. Leaving me at the airport for 5 hours really allowed me to adjust to Korea's fine culture. Further my first day of training consisting of being hurled to the ravenous maws of a horde of Kindie students showed me that all things are possible with enough pepper spray. Last I just loved having to get down on my knees and bow and scrape for my pay like I was some sort of peasants right out of the boonies.

Thank YOu so much,

Dan The Chainsawman

ps. I went in the hallway and pissed your name on the doormat as a thoughtful momento. Unfortunately I can not spell in Korean very well with my urine. This would mean that the big yellow stain on the doormat is a small token of my appreciation for your fine efforts to turn me into a drooling idiot slave/employee.
