Oprah Winfrey is paying $100,000 rewards if you find and turn in someone on her sex offender list. My mother said that some English teacher from Costa Rica saw the show and recognized one of the guys on the list. He received $100,000 for it.

Here is the current list:

I would not be at all surprised if MANY teachers here were sex offenders back home.

I saw that one since I'm in Canada on "vacation." The guy was wanted for molesting kids for years and was teaching at a University.

His fellow teacher saw the show and reported him and he was arrested and is now in jail.

But what was a bit disturbing to me was that the teacher got $100,000 for making a phone call while two guys who were molested by this guy sat and watched and got nothing.

I know he did a good thing by turning the guy in but I think I would have felt compelled to share with those who were violated. Just a thought!

I thought everyone who sat through Oprah's show got a car these days?

Personally, I would like to see people put up their own webpage or blog, so there is some sense of credibility.

I can understand why some people want a sense of anominity, but there has to be come sort of consequence to serious accusations.

I don't care what she does, Oprah is still the devil. And if she has any more plastic surgery she's going to turn in to a mannequin.

Oprah is one of the most annoying twits to date, but she is a good person.

I don't think so. I think she figured out her demographic a long time ago and has been milking the fat, bored, chocolate eating, chip munching, can't-get-off-the-couch-and-go-for-a-walk-to-shrink-your-fat-ass, lonely, double-chinned housewife for all she can. Give away a trip here, some cars there, a few dozen gift baskets, or what have you, and she's golden. I came across her interviewing Uma Thurman and I couldn't even make it 5 minutes. It was so full of a$$-kissing and self-congratulation that it made me neaseous. Not that she's the only one. I can't watch any kind of hollywood style Entertainment Tonight or E Channel show or even Larry King for the same reason.

Ha,

I got a kick out of that last post. It is partly true:

I saw an episode last week where that Sex In The City chick who likes shoes was on. She talked about how she refuses to let her son use the word "fat" in his vocabulary. It's just too insensitive. The entire audience clapped in mass approval.

Wow, talk about going in denial about an entire nation slipping into obesity!

Who cares what her motives are, what her demographics are, and how many tummy tucks she's had- she using money to get scumbags back in jail where they belong.
She doesn't have to be.
She could easily be sitting back and hawking 'Men are from Mars' types books to her book club.
Think she's a nasty biatch?
Fine, but give her credit where credit is due.

There is a difference between giving credit and accepting what the person pushes.

No *beep* ing kidding, Einstein; and yet isn't that what you and Abbe, among others, are doing?
Confusing the two? But in reverse- denying the credit because of what the person 'pushes'.
Some here seem offended that it's Oprah that's doing the work here and getting the credit; I don't give a shit as long as it means scumbags are put away from where they can get to kids.
I don't think I've ever watched an episode of her show, and have never bought a book because it's on her 'list', but go ahead and make fun of me and call me "Oprah's biggest fan on Dave's" or whatever.

Geesh... who pee'd in your Cheerios? Laughing

Just because I saw you in the audience of a recent Oprah show doesn't mean you have to come unglued. It's OK. Come out of the closet, Bulsajo! Please feel free to open your windows and scream, "I LOVE YOU, OPRAH!!!"

We know you watch it religiously. Admit it. Laughing

I watched this episode of Oprah where she interviewed women from around the world. I thought it might be interesting because it had this hot Indian actress in it but it turned out to be the most repulsive self-indulgent gloat-fest I have ever seen! She used the show as a way of re-affirming just how awesome America is and how it is the best place in the world......all of this on a show that was supposed to be about cultural respect.

My Dad's theory on Oprah is that she yo-yo diets in order to make her audience feel as though she understands them and can relate to their struggles.

Derrek, with your attitude you'd think that you were upset that some people were actually trying to stop monsters from buggering kids. Now why is that?
