I want to change around 2 million Won into Pounds or Euros for my imminent vacation. Where's the best place to do it? I would definately prefer to pay as little commission as possible. |

I usually just change money at the airport - I don't think there's that much difference. But I suspect that the best money-changers in Itaewon are the ones on side streets. There are a couple on the Hamilton Hotel side of Itaewon station - facing the Hotel go to the left - one-or- two blocks and turn right down the side street. I think on the first side street there's one on the right-hand side, and another block- or- two farther there's one on the left-hand side, not far off the main street...(Their phone cards are also a couple thousand won cheaper than the prices on the main street...) |

I think they sometimes give you a better rate if you exchange them into traveler's checks instead of cash. You might want to at least ask. |
